About the Book

The poems are a showcase of diverse behavior observable in human beings, animals and the atmospheric conditions. A reader is afforded the opportunity of peeping through one’s mind’s window whereby man and animal behave in a way peculiar to their circumstances. Obviously, living beings have traits of character that transcend race, color and even gender. Besides, the poems depict duality in nature. There is absolutely no positive without corresponding negative situation.

The poems have been written under the aegis of the Yoruba language and culture from South West, Nigeria, put together in an agreeable manner with the cultural norms and mores of the language of other nationals. From Google on language and culture, it has been stated that language and culture are intertwined. Therefore, a reader of these poems is expected to have the feeling of having been interacting with owners of Yoruba language and culture lucidly expressed in English language.

About the Author

Emmanuel Osindele

Emmanuel Osindele, an American citizen by naturalization, was born a Nigerian. He was brought up to appreciate the beauty in languages and culture in the sense that each spoken language expresses same desire or intension but intoned or expressed in different words. He was brought up under the British educational system from the elementary through to tertiary level. He had his BSc degree in Sociology (1975).

His training and work experiences prepared him towards focusing on behavioral tendencies. These observable tendencies include character traits such as love and hate, that tend to provoke reactions, effect of climate on the changes that are noticeable among fauna and flora. The beauty of it all is that every society has possible reaction to demonstrate same reaction of joy, peace, love or hatred but may come in different cues.
